Types of Financial Aid—Exemptions

Exemptions are a type of financial assistance allowing some Texas residents to attend a public college or university in Texas without paying tuition or, in some cases, tuition and fees.
Listed below are the exemption programs available to Texas residents.

FAFSA

Opens December 1st 
Students classified as Texas residents who are not eligible to apply for federal financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are encouraged to complete the TASFA
Check out our Career Center located in between the counseling office and the nurse's office! Come by and meet your very own college adviser Ms. Elizabeth Bustamante or with our CCMR Specialist, Mr. Paul Goodwin!
Visit the career center regularly during office hours for scholarship updates, college visit dates/times/locations, and SAT/ACT information!

Transcript Request Information

Are you under the age of 18?   You will be required to attach a completed”Parent Authorization Form” and copy of parent ID to the order. 
 
Per District policy and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) student records are only available to those who have authorization from the student or parent, guardian or responsible person if the student is less than 18 years of age. If the student is 18 years of age or older, school records will not be released to a parent, guardian, or responsible person without the student’s written consent.
