Welcome to Legacy of Educational Excellence (LEE) High School, where passion, inquiry, and exploration open the door to possibility. Since 1958, LEE has provided generations of students with opportunities to challenge themselves, discover what inspires them, and prepare for successful lives beyond graduation.

What makes the LEE experience especially unique is the breadth of opportunities available on one campus. Students can pursue a comprehensive high school education while learning alongside nationally recognized programs in global studies, the arts, STEM, athletics, JROTC, fine arts, leadership, and more. Whether students arrive with a clear vision for their future or are still discovering what excites them, LEE gives Volunteers the opportunity to find their path.

What Makes LEE Special

Three Magnet Programs. One Campus.

LEE is home to three distinctive NEISD magnet programs, creating a learning community unlike any other in the district.

The International School of the Americas (ISA) engages students in project-based learning centered on global issues and prepares them to think critically about an interconnected world.

The North East School of the Arts (NESA) gives students opportunities to pursue intensive study and develop their talents across multiple artistic disciplines.

The STEM Academy challenges students through problem-based, technology-rich learning designed for those interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Together, these programs bring students with different interests, talents, and perspectives into one dynamic campus community.

From Athletics and JROTC to Band, Dance, PALS, Photography, UIL, clubs, organizations, and other extracurricular experiences, Volunteers can continue something they already love or discover an entirely new passion.

Our Cluster

Welcome to the LEE Cluster in the North East Independent School District. As a Legacy of Educational Excellence High School School student, your child will establish a passion, curiosity, and foundation for life-long learning while nurturing their social and emotional skills. Outside of the classroom, your child can embrace what they love or try something new through diverse clubs, programs and organizations.

Your child will discover even more opportunities at Nimitz and Jackson Middle School. As their academic foundation expands in the classroom, their circle of friends and experiences will grow through new opportunities in Athletics, Fine Arts, Student Council, National Junior Honor Society, competitive UIL contests, and more. The STEM Academy Middle School magnet is located at Nimitz. In this program, students forge a foundation for future careers in biomedical sciences, engineering, and technology fields.

Your child has the freedom and support to pursue their passions in a variety of nationally recognized programs, organizations, and clubs – from Athletics to JROTC, Band, Dance, PALS, Photography, UIL, and much more.

LEE High School is home to the International School of the Americas (ISA), the STEM Academy High School, and the North East School of the Arts (NESA). ISA focuses on project-based learning that tackles global issues while NESA paves the way for students interested in theatre, filmmaking, writing, art, and dance. The STEM Academy offers problem-based, technology-rich curriculum for students wanting to continue their study of science, technology, engineering, and math after graduation.
